| Me Speaking at Washington School In Medford, Oregon |
This is the wonderful Library at Washington School in Medford, Oregon. What a great place to be inspired while speaking to so many kids! I'm surrounded by amazing Dr. Seuss characters as well as delightful kids.
This was the first day of my week long school visits in Medford, Oregon, where I grew up. I spoke to several big groups. The kids were well-behaved and had lots of questions.
Adriane Morejohn, the librarian, grew up in Hawaii, so she was very excited to learn about The Hawaiian Island Detective Club. She was a wonderful supporter and helped spread the word to other schools so that I had a full week of visits!
There were some late orders for books, so I returned two days later to drop off books. As I was walking down the street, a group of girls recognized me and I heard them say, "There's the author! Hi, Cheryl!" I turned and waved. Then I heard them say, "That's Cheryl Linn Martin."
Those girls certainly made my day! I hope they remember my talk and are
