Saturday, November 9, from 3 pm-4pm.

I'll have a fun Palm Tree Craft for kids, Recipe Cards for adults (with a "connect the Hawaiian word with the meaning" game on the back), and--course--book signing!!

Celebrate Neighborhood Toy Store Day at Kazoodles! Goody bags for the first 25 kids in the morning and the first 25 kids after 1 p.m. 10 a.m.: Music with Tallulah's Daddy, a Portland musician who's a hit with the preschool set. 11 a.m.: Meet Flipzles creator Vicki Lewis of Woodland, who will demonstrate her innovativeFlipzles, part puzzle and part playset. 1:30 p.m.: The creators of Eye Can Art will be here from Seattle to lead a workshop in foam print making. Learn from the best! 3 p.m.: Meet local authors Susie Slanina, who wrote the Metro the Little Dog series, and Cheryl Linn Martin, who wrote the Hawaiian Island Detective Club series. 4 p.m.: Try your hand at Foil Art! The results will be sparkling! Or choose to do a project with Thames and Kosmos' The Physics of Toys kit. All day: Donate a toy to the Children's Center toy drive and we'll donate another one!
