My Whoville Christmas Tree!

Decorating my Christmas Tree every year is one of my favorite things to do. Every year our family goes to a U-Cut and finds a Noble Fir. I like the space in-between the branches so the ornaments can hang and be seen!

I remember the days when the kids helped--and hung their own ornaments on the tree. It was a great family experience to be treasured forever. But, now, I decorate my tree with lots of glitz and fun--and a different color theme each year. Here are my themes:

GoldBurgundy and Glass
GreensChampagne, Wood, Pears and Partridges (Pears and Partridges from my mom)
Reds, Silver and Glass
SilverPinkPurples and Blues (my grandma's ornaments--she loved pink!)

Some fun "Whoville" ornaments and glass beads
AND--this year--I did a fun new theme! I call it my Whoville Tree! We ended up with a super tall tree with a wonky top, so I pulled out my pink, blue and purple ornaments along with some crazy ones I picked up at various garage sales this summer. I also found some wild glass beads to string as well. The top is a glitzy butterfly, and we have a Grinch to connect up there--he'll be reaching for the top, tangled in some lights. But, our tree is so tall, we have to use our huge ladder and hope my son doesn't fall in the process!
More fun ornaments!

I couldn't get a good photo of the entire tree, but here are some close-ups so you can enjoy the ornaments! Don't they remind you of the colors of Hawaii?? Although not traditional, I LOVE this tree!

What about you? How do you like to decorate your tree?? Enjoy!

And here's the "wonky" top!
Remind you of Whoville??
