Am I In The Islands?

I've been asking myself that question for a couple weeks now. You see, NW Oregon and SW Washington are notorious for their horribly cold and rainy springs and dreary, often cool and somewhat rainy summers.

But not so this year! Although we had some cold spring days and a fair amount of rain, we also had the sun showing off more days than any spring I can remember for a number of years. And then came summer--I figured maybe we had our summer during the spring . . .

But, NO! Our summer in NW Oregon/SW Washington has been warm and sunny!! The past few days have been a bit overcast in the morning (our typical summer days) but the afternoons have been amazing.

And to answer your burning question--YES! I'm wearing flip-flops every day. Ahhhh . . . it feels like Hawaii and I'm loving it.

Aloha, and Mahalo for visiting!

  1. Flip flops are my FAVES. I wear them all summer and I wear them EVERYWHERE. Even to church!

    1. Me too, Karla. I have some cute, heeled flip-flops I wear when I want to look more "dressed up." It's kind of hard to find them--usually when they have a heel, they are sandals--without the little "between the toe" thing. Aloha! --Cheryl
