Baby Boy!!

Baby Ewan with His New Tutu
Yes--it's a boy! My daughter and her husband blessed us with our first grandchild on Sunday, June 9 at 1:11 am.

His name is Ewan David and he weighed in at 9 lb. 7 oz., 20 3/4 inches. What a little chunk! Like my son-in-law says, "You can't say 'Chunk' without 'Hunk'! Yup, he's a little hunk and a charmer too.

What a BIG Boy!!!

I'm so excited to begin this new journey in my life--being a Tutu!!

Any advice from all you seasoned grandparents out there?? I know I'm just soooooo ready to spoil the little guy! Isn't that the best part of being a grandparent?

Aloha, and Mahalo for visiting!

  4. Cheryl, congratulations! When my first grandchild, Dustin, was born (12 years ago now--yikes!), I thought I could never be happier. Then along came his little brother, Hunter, then Cannon. They belonged to my youngest child and her husband. Then my son and his wife had Tyler, then Adam. Five grandsons! Finally, my middle child and her husband (the ones with whom I live) had Molly. Each time, I thought my joy was at its uppermost peak--and each succeeding grandchild just upped the ante :-) You've earned this joy. Love them all you can, pass on whatever nuggets of wisdom you have, and then love 'em some more :-)Enjoy your new role as Tutu! Beautiful pictures, by the ay!

    Blessings,
    Deb

  5. Our dad would say Ewan David is "A little hunk of plunder." I'm sure that's a great thing - he's wicked cute! Thanks for sharing the pictures - you can never get enough baby pictures!
