YOU Can Be A Writer!

YES, YOU CAN!!

 That's the message I gave while speaking to six different groups of English/Writing students at Hedrick Middle School in Medford, Oregon.

 I gave them a little "taste" of what makes good creative writing, and they were quick to learn. I also gave them a chance to ask questions about my writing journey and about my books. It was a wonderful, long day--my voice was about gone by the end!

Here I am at Hedrick. It's where I attended Junior High growing up in Medford. Although it's changed a lot, I still recognized some things--mostly the outside of the building.

 Want to be a writer?? YOU can do it too. There's lots to learn, but anyone with a heart and a desire can learn to write.
