A Very Pidgin and Hula Christmas!

I love listening to Pidgin English, especially when is involves the Christmas story. Here is a wonderful video I found. It has a conch shell horn, the Bible story read in pidgin, and a hula danced to Away in the Manger.

Enjoy as you contemplate this season and the birth of God’s son, Jesus.

Merry Christmas, and please keep visiting. My next post will be a delightful Christmas classic done in pidgin!

Mahalo for visiting,
Cheryl

  3. Thanks for posting this, Cheryl! I've never heard the Christmas story read in Pidgin before, or seen a hula to Away in a Manger - so neat to see how other cultures worship the Lord! We're looking forward to returning to Maui in February. This video made me anxious to get there!

Wanted to thank you again for the Tell Me About Yourself Award - I'm passing it along today over at my site and gave a shout out to you and your lovely blog! God bless!

  9. Maria, I'm so envious of your trip to the islands! Wish I could tag along, but I'll have to wait for another day. Sigh . . .

Glad you enjoyed the pidgin and the hula. I was so excited when I found this video. And--you're very welcome on the award--I so appreciate the shout out! Hugs!

  10. Jessica P and Loree--I'm so glad this was something new to you! One of my characters in my books uses pidgin sometimes, and it's as fun to write as it is to listen to! Thanks for your support!
