How was your Christmas and New Year?
I hope you were blessed by the season of Christ's birth and that you had a wonderful time with family and friends.
During our family celebration (35 of my husband's family at our house!), we decided to do a new "twist" on our Adult Gift Exchange. We did a small gift card and a joke or white elephant gift. There were some really funny gifts including some Penny "Loaf"-ers carved out of small loaves of french bread, complete with the pennies, a "Make your own Duck Dynasty" complete with beard, "camo" t-shirt, bandanas and a duck call (a party horn), and an I-pad (an eyeball drawn on a pad).
I chose a gift that ended up being a coconut monkey bank--with the word "Hawaii" carved on it. Now, how perfect is that for someone who not only loves the islands, but also writes about them??!!

In future blogs I'll share some of my other fun Hawaiian-type gifts I received this Christmas. In the meantime, enjoy my coconut monkey!
Aloha, and Mahalo for visiting!
