It was a beautiful, warm evening and the music was from the 80's, the band looking completely "1980's stereotyped!" What a blast we had.
The food was catered by a local Hawaiian restaurant, Tommy O's. It was delicious! We had the Kalua Pig. Ohhhhhh, yummy! If you click on it, you can see my recipe post for cooking Kalua Pig. Then my husband surprised me with Haupia, which is a coconut pudding--Tommy O's called it a custard. It was amazing! Now, I haven't done a recipe in a very long time, but this will be one of the next ones I post, although I'm not sure if Tommy O's version is a little different or not. I'll find out!
A final surprise of the evening--my husband was willing to get up from his comfy seat, walk to the front of the stage and join our friends "Dancin' To The Oldies!"
Have you had a fun summer evening this year? I'd love to hear about it.
Aloha, and Mahalo for visiting!
